CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) released its list of the NCAA's highest team grade point averages Thursday, with the UIndy women's golf team ranking 11th among Division II programs with a combined GPA of 3.657.
Bolstered by
four WGCA All-American Scholars, UIndy found itself as one of just three GLVC schools in the Division II top 25, joining Drury University at No. 5 and Rockhurst University in 17th. Cal State San Marcos topped all DII teams with a combined 3.888 team GPA in 2018-19.
The WGCA has recognized the top team GPAs annually, but this marks the second year that the coaches organization has split the honorees up by division, as previously only an overall top-25 list was published. Last season, the Hounds ranked 13th in Division II after appearing in the overall NCAA top 25 seven of the final 12 years prior to the split in 2017-18.
