UIndy Women’s Golf Among Division II’s Academic Elite

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) released its list of the NCAA's highest team grade point averages Monday, with the Greyhounds ranking 23rd among Division II programs with a combined 3.665 GPA.

Bolstered by five WGCA All-American Scholars, UIndy positioned itself as one of four GLVC schools in the top 25, joining Rockhurst (7th), Lindenwood (10th) and McKendree (25th). Davenport University topped all DII programs with a combined 3.918 team GPA in 2019-20.

The WGCA has recognized the top team GPAs annually, but this marks just the third year that the organization has split the honorees up by division, as previously only an overall top-25 list was published. The Hounds ranked 11th and 13th in Division II in 2017-18 and 2018-19, receptively, after appearing in the overall NCAA top 25 seven of the final 12 years prior to the split.
