Hounds Drop Top-15 Battle at Key Stadium

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 13 UIndy women's lacrosse team dropped a top-15 matchup on Sunday afternoon to fifth-ranked Tampa by a score of 13-9 from Key Stadium.

Joey Fowler tallied four points, including three goals and one assist.

The Greyhounds won each of the past two battles, claiming victories on a neutral field in 2022
and 2023.

INS & OUTS
It was a back-and-forth fight for the first three-plus quarters before a pair of Spartan goals with
under four minutes left put the game away.

Tampa looked to pull away midway through the second frame, scoring three unanswered goals
to build a 6-3 advantage. However, Fowler netted her hat trick over the next minutes to even
the contest just before halftime. Megan Dunn dished out an assist on two of the scores, upping
her season total to a team-high 19.

Olivia Bladon knotted the bout at seven apiece with a woman-up goal at the 14:07 mark of the
third as the battle continued. However, Tampa locked in defensively, allowing just two
goals over the final 29+ minutes while scoring six to pull away from UIndy.

Mackenzie Winn was involved in both of the Hounds' final goals, assisting on Dunn's tally with
under six minutes left.
