Anci Dy has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Women's Golf Player of the Year, while teammate
Jess Haines earned the Freshman of the Year nod, and their head coach
Brent Nicoson was chosen by his peers as GLVC Coach of the Year, it was announced by the Conference office on Thursday. In addition, five individuals completed the 10-member All-Conference team.
Per GLVC Bylaws, each of the top-five finishers at the GLVC Championship automatically earn an All-Conference selection, with the remaining five individuals and major award winners nominated and voted on by the head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players. Ultimately, five Greyhounds were tabbed all-conference, with Dy,

Player of the Year: Anci Dy, Junior, Indianapolis
- Becomes UIndy's 13th Player of the Year with her unanimous selection and first since Anna Kramer won in 2022.
- Played in 34 rounds during the 2023-24 season with a 72.8 stroke average and season-low 65 to tie 18-hole program record.
- Also tied UIndy's 36-hole scoring record (135).
- Earned one tournament win this season with 10 top-10 finishes in 11 events.
- Ranked No. 1 in the GLVC, second in NCAA East Region, and sixth in NCAA Division II.
- Helped Greyhounds to six tournament wins, including GLVC Championship title, to go along with pair of runner-up finishes and three other top-10 results.
- Finished sixth at GLVC Championship (85-80-73–238).
Freshman of the Year: Jess Haines, Indianapolis
- Becomes UIndy's 11th Freshman of the Year with her unanimous selection and first since Hunter Nugent in 2020.
- Played in 34 rounds during the 2023-24 season with a 74.7 stroke average and season-low 68.
- Earned one runner-up tournament finish, four top-five results, and seven top-10 efforts in 11 events.
- Ranked fourth in the GLVC, eighth in NCAA East Region, and 67th in NCAA Division II.
- Helped Greyhounds to six tournament wins, including GLVC Championship title, to go along with pair of runner-up finishes and three other top-10 results.
- Finished fourth at GLVC Championship (80-78-76–234) and shot 70 in the championship round of medal/match play.
Coach of the Year: Brent Nicoson, Indianapolis
- Wins 11th Coach of the Year award and 15th overall for UIndy.
- Led Greyhounds to top seed in GLVC Championship medal/match play and league-best 16th Conference title with a 4.5-0.5 semifinal win over fourth-seeded Maryville and 3.5-1.5 finals win over second-seeded Missouri-St. Louis.
- Mentored UIndy to six tournament wins, including GLVC Championship title, to go along with pair of runner-up finishes and three other top-10 results.
- Guided Matilda Cederholm (77-77-72–226) to GLVC Individual Medalist honors at the GLVC Championship, Dy and Haines to major awards, and five players to All-GLVC recognition.

Caroline Whallon, as well as UMSL senior Victoria Klausner and junior Juliette Lecomte, were voted by the league coaches as the five additional honorees on the All-Conference team. Those earning an automatic spot on the postseason team included Cederholm as the Individual Medalist, runner-up Wilma Zanderau (80-75-77–232) from UMSL, University of Illinois Springfield sophomore Elaine Grant (79-78-76–233) who finished third, Haines in fourth, and fifth-place Taryn Overstreet (80-76-81–237) from Drury University.
The league also recognized 12 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honorees for the sport and a tie for the team award winner between UIndy and UMSL.
Macey Brown was the Greyhound honoree, as she has distinguished herself through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. All the honorees must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The student-athletes are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced later this month.
