Women's Golf Arrives at #16 in First WGCA National Poll

FRISCO, Texas — The WGCA released its first set of spring NCAA Division II women's golf national rankings on Friday, with the Greyhounds featured at No. 16 in the year's first coaches poll.

UIndy is one of three teams from the Midwest region to appear in the top 10, Findlay and Grand Valley State being the other two at No. 4 and No. 6 respectively.

The Greyhounds kicked off its season in South Carolina at the Battle at Hilton Head, grabbing a seventh place finish in a loaded field that featured five teams in the latest WGCA rankings. Paige Giovenco captured her third top-10 in just her first season with the Greyhounds after a final round 70 (-2), which was only one of nine under par rounds on the week.

The Hounds will have a few weeks off before heading back down to Okatie, SC for the Oldfield Intercollegiate on Mar. 16-17.
