Peyton Romig

Romig enters her third season at the helm of the UIndy women's lacrosse program following a stellar four-year playing career with the Greyhounds. 

In just two years with the Hounds, Romig has already taken a team to the Final Four in 2025, beating two top-15 teams en route to the program's first Final Four since 2022 when Romig and the Hounds won the program's first national title. Along with a Final Four appearance in 2024, Romig has also 29 wins in two seasons with six ranked wins. 

Romig and her staff, including Casey Korb and Olivia Bakowski, were awarded the IWLCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year in 2025. 

She also coached five IWLCA All-Americans, 10 IWLCA All-Region honorees, 16 All-GLVC members, 2025 GLVC Midfielder of the Year in Olivia Bladon, and 2024 GLVC Freshman of the Year in Amanda Hurry.

One of the greatest players in program history, Romig was instrumental in the Greyhounds' national title run in 2022. The Carthage, N.Y., native captained the '22 club to a 22-1 overall record, culminating in an 11-9 win versus third-ranked East Stroudsburg in the Division II championship game. She amassed 16 draw controls and three points and was later voted the NCAA DII Championship Most Outstanding Player.

Romig was a three-time All-America First Team honoree  as a student-athlete and was voted the IWLCA DII National Player of the Year.in 2021. She was also twice named the GLVC Midfielder of the Year before going on to set the all-division NCAA record for career draw controls.

After capping her five-year playing career at UIndy, Romig served as an assistant coach at Davenport for one season. Six Panthers claimed All-GLIAC honors in 2023, including a pair of first teamers. Davenport totaled 203 wins in the draw circle, averaging nearly 12 per game.

Romig is a two-time graduate from UIndy, earning her bachelor's degree and master's degree in Exercise Science.
