Greyhound Park-Baumgartner Field was constructed in 2011-12 to give the Greyhound softball team an on-campus venue. The Greyhound softball facility features a 190' fence with a scoreboard over right center field. A two-story press box building stands directly behind home plate.
Â
Baumgartner field which is located within Greyhound Park is dedicated to Mary "Wimp" Baumgartner, who played in the All-American Girl's Professional Baseball League during the late 1940s. Baumgartner was a long-time coach and teacher in the public school system, and was a charter member of the Indiana High School Athletic Association's first board for women.
The field has played host to a number of NCAA tournament events, including Division II regionals in 2012, '13, '15, '16 and '23; as well as super regionals in '13 and '23.
