Hounds blank USI for fifth conference win

UIndy matches 2005 GLVC win total with five to play

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - A pair of first-half goals propelled the UIndy men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over the University of Southern Indiana at Key Stadium on Sunday.  The Hounds outshot the Eagles, 17-4, and put nine of their 17 shots on target. 

Sophomore forward Jon Walker scored his team leading 7th goal of the season when he slotted home from close range after good build up play from Mar Wane and John Higgins.  In the 40th minute, Josiah Mullen opened his goal scoring account when he finished off a breakaway after being sent clear of the Southern Indiana defense by a Nick Eddy pass. 

Matt Spaulding etched his third shutout of the season, making three saves.   
 
Indianapolis (9-3, 5-3 GLVC) will battle Saint Joseph's on Thursday at Key Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
