INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-  Reigning conference Player of the Week Lynne Ross tied a season-high with 16 kills to lead host Indianapolis past Wisconsin-Parkside, 3-0 (30-21, 30-22, 30-28) at the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center on Friday night.  Ross went over the 200 mark for the season and currently sits in fifth-place all-time at UIndy with 1,111 career finishes.

Indianapolis (16-4, 7-1 GLVC) got off to a sluggish start as the Rangers jumped out to a quick 5-1 lead in the opening game.  The Greyhounds used a 9-2 run later in the game to build a 15-11 lead and force UWP to call a timeout.  Following the break, the Rangers were able to trim the lead to three but got no closer as the Hounds finished off game one, 30-21.

In the second game, the Hounds took advantage of UWP miscues to mount a 7-3 lead that they would not relinquish.  The Rangers hit just .098 in the second stanza with eight attack errors to allow UIndy a gain a two-games-to-none advantage.

The final game was a see-saw affair with neither team garnering a lead larger than four points.  With the Hounds up 19-15, UWP rattled off six straight points to regain control and  take a 21-19 lead.

Ross recorded four of her match-high 16 kills after that point, rallying the Hounds to a 30-28 win of game three and the sweep.  The win was the fifth straight for UIndy and 11th out of its last 12 contests, seven coming via sweep during that stretch.

Alyssa Carlotta chipped-in nine kills for Indianapolis and Ashley Fallos led the defense with 16 digs.  Brandi McAllister dished-out 25 assists.

Indianapolis will host Lewis University in its homecoming match on Saturday.  Match time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

Match notes:  Ross recorded two total blocks to raise her career total to 498 ... UIndy has now won seven straight matches over Wisconsin-Parkside ... The all-time series with the teams is now split at 12-apiece.
