INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-  The University of Indianapolis men's basketball team made it a weekend sweep, picking-up a hard-fought 69-67 win over visiting Southern Illinois Edwardsville at Nicoson Hall on Saturday afternoon.  The Greyhounds etched their 10th victory of the season in the win and improved to 6-3 in conference play.

Despite a sluggish start and a Cougar lead that was as many as 15, UIndy found itself down just a single point at the break, 26-25.  The Hounds allowed just one field goal in the final seven minutes to claw back in to the game.  Justin Barnard connected on a three and followed with a jumper on the next possession to slice it to five.  Braxton Mills then scored the last six UIndy points of the half to trim the margin to one.

The Hounds completed the comeback during the first possession of the second stanza on Jordan Barnard's layup.  The teams traded leads in the early going of the second half.  Brock converted a three-point play on a drive and free throw conversion.  Justin Barnard hit a triple from the top of the key and Myron Jackson layed in an offensive board as the Hounds enjoyed a six-point lead at 51-45.

SIUE battled back to tie it before moving past the Greyhounds on J.B. Jones' free-throw makes at 58-57.   With two minutes to go, Scott Strahm fed Mills with a bounce pass and the sophomore finished off the window for a 61-58 UIndy advantage.

Brock made the lead four with just under a minute to play when he corralled a loose ball in the right corner and calmly stepped back and drained a triple.  Jordan Barnard added a pair of freebies with :32 left for a seemingly insurmountable six-point lead.

Greyhound free-throwing shooting down the stretch gave UIndy the win as the Hounds made 5-of-6 in the final half-minute to come away with a 69-67 win.  The victory kept the Greyhounds perfect at home in the conference at 4-0 and keeps UIndy atop the GLVC East at 6-3.

UIndy (10-6, 6-3 GLVC) had four players in double figures led by Brock's 18-point effort.  Justin Barnard added 16 and Mills poured-in 15 for the Hounds.  SIUE's Mike Hardiek led all scorers with 29 points while adding nine rebounds.

The Greyhounds head to rival Northern Kentucky for  a Thursday night affair in a battle for first place in the GLVC East.  Tip time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
