INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The University of Indianapolis swimming and diving teams swept a pair of duals at Ruth Lilly Center pool on Saturday in their final home meet of the season. The Greyhound women were 140-106 winners over GLIAC foe Northern Michigan while the Hound men defeated Wabash, 179-119.
Jeremy Lindauer earned an NCAA A-cut time in the 200 breaststroke, as he went 2:05.96. Yaman Oguz won the 200 freestyle and earned a B-cut in the process, clocking a 1:43.26 time. Ahonen just missed on a time standard, winning the 1000 freestyle in 9:48.42, just .33 shy of the NCAA-qualifying time.
Holly Spohr etched a B-cut time in her 50 freestyle win (24.16). She also won the 100 freestyle race (54.49). Ellie Miller just missed on an NCAA cut in the 1000 free race, coming up just .09 shy (10:48.18). Alison Smith also had a B-standard time, winning the 100 backstroke in 59.11. Isabela Tafur outdistanced the competition with her B-cut 1:55.33 in the 200 freestyle.
The Greyhounds will now prepare for the upcoming GLIAC Championships, set for Feb. 21-24 in Ashland, Ohio.
