INDIANAPOLIS - With its 18th sweep of the season, the 18th-ranked University of Indianapolis volleyball team took care of Tiffin at the Ruth Lilly Center Wednesday night, 30-13, 30-24, 30-27. The victory pushes the Hounds' school-record win streak to 21 matches.
UIndy (24-1, 13-0 GLVC) limited the visiting Dragons to a .117 hitting percentage for the match, including a combined .042 through the first two games. Tiffin (9-21) gave the Greyhounds a run in the third game, but with the score 28-27 in favor of the home team, the Dragons committed a service error and Greyhound freshman
Allison Lutocka finished the match with kill on the next point. The Hounds' 18 sweep victories this year matches the program record for sweeps in a season in the rally-scoring era*.
Casey Chrzastowski had a very efficient match offensively. The senior compiled a .409 hitting percentage while tallying 12 kills, seven digs and two service aces.
Lyndsay Callahan recorded a match-high 13 kills to go with 11 digs.
Beth Robbins and
Kyleigh Turner added 46 assists and 15 digs, respectively.
