UIndy comes back to capture road win

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – After falling in an early 1-0 hole on the road, the 20th-ranked University of Indianapolis volleyball team rebounded to take the final three games in a four-game win over Missouri-St. Louis Friday night (25-30, 31-29, 30-27, 30-25).  UIndy continues a win streak that now sits at 16 matches and pushes its record to a perfect 10-0 in the conference and 19-1 overall.
 
USML (8-12, 5-5 GLVC), fresh off a 3-0 sweep of #22 Northern Kentucky, was just the fourth team to take game one from the Hounds this season, with UIndy winning three of the four matches.
 
Friday’s statistical stand-out was Kyleigh Turner.  The sophomore’s 40 digs broke her own school record for most digs in a four-game match*.  Turner had 33 scoops at Lewis on Sep. 8.  Overall, the Hounds recorded 110 digs, a mark that ties the record for most digs in a four-game match versus a GLVC opponent.*.
 
Lyndsay Callahan recorded her seventh double-double by contributing 19 digs and a team-high 18 kills.  Casey Chrzastowski totaled 13 kills and four block assists.  Cheneta Morrison killed 12 balls while Elizabeth Shuyler added 11 kills on a .320 hitting percentage.
 
Junior Beth Robbins had 44 assists, sophomore Jessica Breeden tallied six total blocks, and Ashley Fallos and Brandi McAllister earned 18 digs and 10 digs, respectively.
 
UIndy stays in the Show Me State to face Missouri-Rolla at 4 pm Saturday afternoon.
