ST. LOUIS, Mo. – After falling in an early 1-0 hole on the road, the 20th-ranked University of Indianapolis volleyball team rebounded to take the final three games in a four-game win over Missouri-St. Louis Friday night (25-30, 31-29, 30-27, 30-25). UIndy continues a win streak that now sits at 16 matches and pushes its record to a perfect 10-0 in the conference and 19-1 overall.
USML (8-12, 5-5 GLVC), fresh off a 3-0 sweep of #22 Northern Kentucky, was just the fourth team to take game one from the Hounds this season, with UIndy winning three of the four matches.
Friday’s statistical stand-out was
Kyleigh Turner. The sophomore’s 40 digs broke her own school record for most digs in a four-game match*. Turner had 33 scoops at Lewis on Sep. 8. Overall, the Hounds recorded 110 digs, a mark that ties the record for most digs in a four-game match versus a GLVC opponent.*.
UIndy stays in the Show Me State to face Missouri-Rolla at 4 pm Saturday afternoon.
