UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.-  The Greyhound men's basketball team remained perfect on the young season, improving to 3-0 with a 68-65 overtime win over host Saginaw Valley State at the Ryder Center Wednesday night.   With the win, the Hounds hand the Cardinals their first defeat of the season.

The Greyhounds took a 28-24 lead into halftime and led by as many as 10 in the second half when SVSU's backcourt duo of  Dante Williams and Mario Mackey hit big buckets down the stretch to tie the game at 61 apiece and send it to overtime.

In the extra period, the Greyhound defense allowed just four points while senior DeAndre Brock hit a pair of free throws in the closing seconds to help ice the win.  The senior finished the night with a game-high 24 points, marking the third straight contest in which he's led the team in scoring.

Tristan Rogers and Myron Jackson each chipped-in 10 for the victorious Greyhounds.  SVSU drops to 3-1 overall this season with the loss.

More details regarding the game will be posted once they are available.

UIndy (3-0) returns home to face Franklin College in the final game prior to the start of the conference schedule.  The Hounds and Grizzlies square off at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Nicoson Hall.
