Ball State bests men's tennis

MUNCIE, Ind.-  NCAA Division I power Ball State cruised to a 7-0 win over visiting Indianapolis in men's tennis action on Saturday.  The Cardinals did not drop a set en route to the win to even UIndy's record to 2-2 on the young season.

The doubles matches were all closely contested as the Cards won a pair of 8-3 matches and an 8-4 decision at No. 3.  In singles play, the closest competition came at the No. 4 slot where JD Greenlee pushed Bret Berryman to a 6-4, 6-3 contest.  Levi Musser also held his own, battling through a 6-3, 6-3 match.

The Greyhounds faced some stiff competition for the second straight weekend after battling the University of Toledo last weekend.  The schedule will help prepare UIndy for three straight region opponents at home.  The Hounds host Rockhurst and Grand Valley State on Friday and Ferris State on Sunday.
