KENOSHA, Wis.-  Wisconsin-Parkside overcame a 19-point Greyhound advantage to tie the score in the final seconds, eventually taking a 89-80 win in overtime in Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Thursday night.  The outcome further muddles an already congested GLVC East division, as five teams are within a game-and-a-half from second to sixth place heading into the final handful of games.

UIndy (12-10, 8-7 GLVC) raced out to a 22-7 lead just over seven minutes into the game, connecting on seven straight field goals at one point to take a commanding lead.    UIndy led 42-28 at the break, holding the potent Ranger offense to just 38.5 percent shooting, including 1-for-8 from three-point range.

The Greyhound advantage held at double digits until midway through the second half until a 10-2 run engineered by LaVontay Fenderson tied the score at 67-67 with 2:33 left.  Fenderson scored eight of points during the run and had back-to-back possessions with traditional three-point plays, scoring and making the subsequent freebie after a Greyhound foul.

Scott Strahm (pictured) then buried triples on the next two Greyhound offensive trips to put the gap back to six with only 1:15 remaining.  Fenderson answered with a three of his own and scored a bucket with :11 to retie the score and send the game to overtime.

In the extra frame, UWP (16-10, 8-8 GLVC) did not miss, hitting on all four shots from the floor and all six free throw attempts to steal the game and take the victory.  Fenderson finished with 21 points while Brad Ferstenou tallied a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds.

The Greyhounds were led by Strahm, who 17 points, hitting a career-high-tying five triples in the game.  Three other players were in double figures for UIndy:  DeAndre Brock (14), Justin Barnard (11) and Jordan Barnard (10).

One final trip remains on the Greyhounds' regular season schedule as the Hounds head to Lewis University on Saturday afternoon.  Tip time has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Notes:  UWP took its first lead of the game in the overtime session ... Braxton Mills and Keith Radcliff both fouled out and Justin Barnard had four fouls ... UIndy's top two scorers in the game came off-the-bench (Strahm, Brock) ... Each team missed six free throws for the game with UWP garnering 18 more chances ... UIndy has now dropped 10 straight overtime decisions dating back to the 2003-04 season.
