INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- Visiting Wisconsin-Parkside scored 47 first-half points and fended off a late Greyhound rally for a 72-67 win at Nicoson Hall on Saturday afternoon.  The Hounds' bench helped narrow a double-digit deficit to engineer a chance for a game-tying basket in the closing seconds.

Despite shooting 51.9 percent from the floor and 54.5 percent from the three-point line in the first half, the Greyhounds foud themselves in an 11-point hole at the break.  The Rangers rode the back of guard Tyrone Deacon to the halftime advantage.   Deacon hit on six straight three-point attemts in the opening frame, tallying 22 in the first 20 minutes alone.  The Rangers knocked down nine triples in the first half, hitting a whopping 64.3 percent of their long distance shots (9-for-14).

In the second half, the Hounds surrendered just 25 points to the Rangers and limited Deacon to just two points.  With the Hounds trailing by 10 midway through the half, the bench made its move to help erase a bulk of the deficit.  Tristan Rogers scored six straight points, book-ended by triples from Jordan Barnard and the lead stood at just 63-58 with eight minutes left.

Keith Radcliff (pictured) buried a three-pointer and converted a layup, part of his UIndy career-high 13 points, to slice the margin to just three.  A Braxton Mills lay-in got it down to a single point with :59 on the clock, but a pair of three-point looks were off the mark in the final seconds and UWP (16-6, 7-6 GLVC) pulled away for the 72-67 victory.

Brad Ferstenou complemented Deacon's effort with 23 of his own, including a team-high nine in the second half.

DeAndre Brock led the Hounds in scoring, posting 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting.  Mills and Radcliff each chipped-in 13 points with nine rebounds coming from Mills and Brock.

UIndy (11-9, 7-6 GLVC) closes out its home stand with a Tuesday battle with Saint Joseph's.  Tip time is slated for 7:30 p.m. from Nicoson Hall.

Notes:  UIndy's bench outscored UWP's reserves by a 28-3 margin ... The Rangers made just 2-of-11 from three-point range in the second stanza ... Scott Strahm registered his tenth straight game with more assists than turnovers (7 assts., 0 TO) ... The GLVC leader in assist-to-turnoever ratio has 46 assists and just 12 turnovers in that span.
