OWENSBORO, Ky. - In what took all of 75 minutes, the University of Indianapolis volleyball team crushed the Panthers of Kentucky Wesleyan in the minimum three games, 30-14, 30-15, 30-24.  The win marked the tenth sweep of the season for UIndy while pushing its record to 3-0 in the conference and 12-1 overall.

The Hounds set the tone in the opening game, out-hitting their opponents .395 to -.071.  UIndy continued to dominate the Panthers in the second, as Kentucky Wesleyan could muster only 29 points in the first two games.  KWC (3-7, 0-3 GLVC) scored a respectable 24 points in the final game as Head Coach Jody Butera opted to rest some of her starters.  All fourteen Hounds contributed to holding their opponents to a negative attack percentage for the fourth time this season and the second time in as many matches.

Though she saw time in just two games, freshman Lyndsay Callahan led the Hounds in kills for the second straight match.  The Chicago, Ill. native tallied 11 finishes to go with nine digs and two block assists.  Casey Chrzastowski, who also played in just two games, reached eight kills and seven digs.  Elizabeth Shuyler hit .391 while adding ten kills and a team-high four blocks.

A trio of Greyhounds totaled 16 digs on the night, as Beth Robbins, Ashley Fallos and Kyleigh Turner all turned the trick.  Freshman Cheneta Morrison followed with a season-high 11 digs.  Robbins also added 43 assists from the setter’s spot.

UIndy takes a break from Great Lakes Valley Conference play as it host Indiana Tech at 7 pm on Wednesday, Sep. 19.
