Hounds add to perfect GLVC record

Fishback tallies two goals in 4-0 UIndy victory at Southern Indiana

EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The UIndy Greyhounds maintained their undefeated status in GLVC play, defeating Southern Indiana 4-0 Sunday afternoon. The Hounds improve to 7-1-1 on the season, and are now 3-0-0 in the GLVC. The Screaming Eagles fall to 4-4-0 on the year, and 2-3-0 in GLVC play with the loss.

UIndy put up its first goal just before the half, with Diego Lemus finding the back of the net off of a ball from Jason Kreuzman in the 43rd minute. The score was Lemus' third of the year.

The Hounds doubled their lead in the 64th minute, with Jacob Follis scoring his second goal of the season on an unassisted goal at the 63:29 mark.

Brian Fishback then tallied his fifth and sixth goals of the season to ice the game for the Greyhounds. Fishback's first goal came just prior to the 71st minute mark off of an assist from Lemus. His second goal of the contest came just more than two minutes later, at the 73:03 mark off of a ball from Mar Wane.

Southern Indiana managed just three shots in the match to the Hounds' 14. The teams were even in corner kicks, with each side taking three.

Matt Spaulding earned the complete-game, shutout victory between the posts for UIndy, improving his 2007 record to 3-1-1. 

The Greyhounds will return home to Indianapolis for a pair of GLVC contests this weekend. Drury comes to town Friday evening at 7:30, and Rockhurst will take to the Key Stadium turf at 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
