OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – In its seventh sweep victory in nine matches, the University of Indianapolis volleyball team handled Oakland City (30-24, 30-17, 30-14) to up its record to 8-1, its best start since 2000. Freshmen
Lyndsay Callahan and
Cheneta Morrison garnered 9 and 10 kills, respectively, on a combined 46 attack attempts.
Morrison’s 10 kills marked the first time she has lead the Greyhounds in that category. The Fort Wayne, Ind. product also added three service aces, eight digs and two blocks. Her 17 aces on the season is a team high.
Callahan’s nine kills came on a .429 hitting percentage. She leads to squad with a .303 percentage on the season.
Brandi McAllister compiled 27 assists and five digs while
Kyleigh Turner recorded 20 digs and three aces.
The Hounds open the conference portion of their schedule on the road as they travel to Kenosha, Wis. to face the Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers. The match is schedule to start at 7 pm on Friday, Sep. 7.
Note: The 2000 Greyhound volleyball team began the season with a 13-1 record.
