INDIANAPOLIS- Cross-town rival Butler University chalked-up an 8-1 victory over the host Greyhounds in women's tennis action at the UIndy Tennis Center Friday night. Senior Ashley Liles posted the lone UIndy point, winning her singles match and improving to 6-3 overall in singles play this season.
Liles overcame a 6-2 loss in the opening set to record a 6-2 win of her own in the second set forcing a super-tiebreaker. She continued her momentum by etching a 10-4 win to take the point at No. 2 singles over BU's Natali Jaimes.
The Bulldogs were straight set winners in the other five singles positions and took all three doubles matches for the victory.
UIndy (2-4) heads to Florida over Spring Break for five matches in six days from Mar. 9-14. Tampa serves as the first opponent on Mar. 9 at 11:00 a.m.
