ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.- The Spring Break trip is off to a good start for the UIndy men's tennis team after a 7-2 win over host Bentley on Sunday. With the victory, the Greyhounds etched their first win of the season.
Each of the top five singles spots were victorious in straight-set fashion, with each winner garnering at least one 6-0 set win. Jan Stastny squandered just one game in his 6-0, 6-1 win at top singles, upping his singles record to 3-3 in dual matches this season.
Mark dos Prazeres-Silva, Werner Henning and Kyle Prow all added their first dual wins on the year. Silva and Prow each recorded their first career NCAA singles wins as well.
The pairings of Stastny-JD Greenlee and Henning-Prow earned wins in doubles play at No. 1 and 2, respectively.
UIndy (1-5) continues on its spring break trip in Florida with a noon match against Adelphi on Tuesday.
