LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Freshman second baseman Jamie Keltz (pictured) drove-in six runs on the day, helping the Greyhounds to a doubleheader sweep of host Bellarmine, 3-2 and 12-0 Saturday afternoon.  The wins extended UIndy's winning streak to six straight and gives the Hounds wins in eight of their last nine games.

Cathryn Sampson got the Hounds on the board first, rapping a two-out double in the first inning to score Jessica Breeden for a 1-0 edge.  BU (16-30, 4-10 GLVC) countered with a single run in the bottom of the frame and the score remained there through seven innings, forcing extras.

In the extra inning, a Lindsay Maraldo lead-off single and a walk from Amanda Wendlinger put runners at first and second.  Keltz, who was 0-for-3 coming into her eighth-inning at bat, smacked a two-out double down the leftfield line, her first of three hits on the day, each driving in a pair.

With Keltz's hit staking the Hounds to a 3-1 advantage, Wendlinger went to work on closing out the game for her 14th win of the season.  She shook off a double and two singles to eventually induce a game-ending groundout right back up the box for a 3-2 UIndy victory.  The junior scattered seven hits over eight innings, striking out four while walking two for her sixth straight win.

The Greyhounds registered just four hits in the opener, but each were timely as every hit directly contributed to either a run or an RBI.

The offense unloaded in game two, piling-up 13 hits in just five innings for the blowout win.  The long ball contributed to six of the Greyhound runs with homers coming from Jenny Swanson, Maggie Swanson and Keltz.

Jenny Swanson's solo shot led-off the second and her sister Maggie's three-run job in the third helped stake UIndy to a comfortable 6-0 edge through three innings.  The onslaught continued in the fourth when the first six batters reached safely for a 10-0 lead.

Keltz hit her fourth homer of the season in the fifth to put the icing on the cake and vault UIndy into second place in the GLVC standings, 2.5 back of league-leading Lewis.

Eight of the nine UIndy starters logged hits in the nightcap, led by Sampson's 3-for-3 effort.  Sampson, Keltz, Breeden and Sara Agnew all recorded multiple hits in game two.

Meagan Gutierrez picked-up the shutout win, allowing four hits in her five innings of work.  The freshman upped her season record to 10-9 with the victory.

The Greyhounds continue their roadswing, heading to Northern Kentucky Sunday for a key conference doubleheader.  Action begins at noon from Highland Heights, Ky.

Notes:  Breeden extended her career-long hitting streak to 14 straight, the longest by a Greyhound since Colleen Roach rattled-off 19 consecutive games back in 2006 ... The Greyhounds have outscored their opponents, 46-12 during their winning streak (6 games) ... UIndy has now posted at least 25 wins in all four seasons with Melissa Frost-Fisher at the helm.
