INDIANAPOLIS- The University of Indianapolis men's soccer team dropped to 0-2 on the young season, losing a 0-1 contest to Ashland at Key Stadium Friday night in its first home contest of 2008.

The lone goal of the game came on a penalty kick by the Eagles' Tom Mangotic just before the 50-minute mark. Mangotic sent the ball just to the right of Greyhound netminder Michael Crane for the eventual game-winning score.

UIndy held the advantage in shots, taking 13 to Ashland's six. Brian Fishback led the offense with four shots total, while Jason Kreuzman (pictured), Taku Chapman, David Harker and Kurt Grandin each fired two shots apiece on the night. The Hounds also took seven corner kick chances while the Eagles had just two in the game. The game was a physical one from the get-go, with a total of 36 fouls and four cards dotting the play.

Crane took the loss in goal for UIndy, making two saves in his 90-minute, complete game effort.

The Greyhounds return to the Key Stadium pitch Sunday, taking on Tiffin in a contest scheduled for 2:30.
