SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The ninth-ranked UIndy women's golf team ensured its second straight trip to the NCAA Division II Championship with a runner-up performance at the D-II Super Regional One Tuesday.  Led by senior Lyndsay McBride's fifth-place finish, the Greyhounds compiled a score of 919 during three rounds of play at Rivercut Golf Course, good for second in the nine-team field.

After sitting in third place after each of the first two rounds, the Greyhounds (309-307-303) slipped by 20th-ranked California-PA with a strong final-round showing.  The Hounds, who improved their team score each day, entered the last day three strokes behind the Vulcans but used a solid 303 Tuesday to finish comfortably in second.

Lyndsay McBride overcame a second-round 80 to share fifth place, her 12th top-five showing in 13 events this year.  The 2009 individual national champion shot two-over for the first 18 holes and one-over in the final round to finish with a three-day score of +11.

Fellow senior Sarah Prascsak notched her third straight top-10 showing at the regional tournament.  The four-time all-conference performer sandwiched a three-over 75 with a pair of 77s to tie for seventh in the 49-woman field.

Sophomore Darin Pinnick recorded the Hounds' third-best score with a 233 (77-75-81), good for a share of 13th.  She was followed by freshman Megan Kiley, who tied for 20th, and junior Allison Tyler, who split 29th place.

With the top three teams advancing, UIndy will be joined by Cal-PA and Super Regional champs Grand Valley State at the NCAA D-II Championship next week, along with individuals Katrina Choate of Drury, Lyndsey Bevill of Northern Kentucky and Missouri-St. Louis' Shweta Galende.  The Division II team and individual national champions will be decided at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. May 12-15.
