LOUISVILLE --
All five of No. 22 UIndy's starters scored in double figures, but top-ranked Bellarmine was able to avenge its earlier defeat with the victory, 93-79, at a sold out Knights Hall on Saturday night. The Greyhounds were looking to sweep the season series against the Knights after handing them their only loss when they were No. 1 in December and defeat the No. 1 team in the country for the third time.

Reece Cheatham scored 16 points and Adrian Moss added 14 points for the Greyhounds (16-7, 9-6 GLVC), while Wilbur O'Neal had 12 points in 13 foul-plagued minutes. Jarrett Hamilton also scored 12 and Louisville native Miles Mitchell scored 11. Sophomore Joe Daniels came off the bench to match his career high with eight rebounds.

The Greyhounds shot 46 percent, but only connected on 5-of-22 three-pointers, while the Knights (22-1, 14-1 GLVC) shot 56.6 percent overall, despite making just 4-of-14 three-pointers. Bellarmine also fouled out four of UIndy's starters on the way to making 29-of-40 free throws to 16-of-22 freebies for the Hounds.

UIndy started out well against the Knights by making its first seven two-point shots before its first three-pointer from Cheatham to take a seven-point lead, 18-11, with 14:25 on the scoreboard. The hosts quickly responded with nine in a row to regain the lead, 20-18, but a Cheatham jumper and Mitchell three-pointer put UIndy back in front, 23-20.

Another 7-0 run by Bellarmine put them up six, 29-23, with 8:20 to play and the defending national champions wouldn't trail again. The lead reached double digits for the first time on a dunk by Chris Dowe with 3:37 left in the half as he finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Another Cheatham jumper closed the margin to six with 76 secnds left in the half, but Bellarmine came back with a second-chance three-pointer on the following possession and then hit two free throws at the very end of the half to lead by 11, 43-32, at intermission.

The Knights carried their end of half momentum into the second frame by scoring the first eight points of the second half on the way to leading by 21, 56-35, with 16:32 to play.

Like in December's victory over Bellarmine, the Greyhounds wouldn't go quietly facing a second half deficit. UIndy strung together an 18-6 run to get back within nine points, 62-53, with 8:46 left on an offensive rebound and putback by O'Neal. The Knights responded with six points in 62 seconds to go back up 15 and UIndy couldn't threaten again.

Jeremy Kendle led all players with 28 points, while Braydon Hobbs added 17 points, 10 assists and six rebounds.

UIndy returns home for Senior Day for Moss and O'Neal on Feb. 16 at Nicoson Hall against Lewis at 7:45 p.m.
