KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UIndy men's basketball fell just two spots to No. 15 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll, released Tuesday afternoon. The Greyhounds dropped their first game of the season last week to No. 3 Bellarmine, 71-69.
 
The Greyhounds were off to their best start in five years before the Knights played spoiler last Tuesday to open league play. Now 7-1, UIndy has picked up in-region victories over five teams thus far, including Grand Valley, who is receiving votes in this week's rankings.
 
UIndy also defeated GLIAC rivals Saginaw Valley and Northwood, along with G-MAC foes Ohio Dominican and Cedarville.
 
Junior Trevor Lakes leads the team with 16.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, while redshirt-senior Jimmy King is dishing out 7.4 assists per contest. The Roncalli product is just 22 points from becoming the 42nd Greyhound to surpass 1,000 career tallies.
 
Bellarmine inched to No. 2 in the poll, while fellow GLVC member Southern Indiana is No. 16.
