ST. LOUIS— The University of Indianapolis men's basketball team defeated the Missouri S&T Miners 75-67 in UMSL's Mark Twain Building in the Great Lakes Valley Conference quarterfinals on Friday night.
Shaun Arnold led the Hounds with a team-high 22 points and 15 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season. The junior's 15 boards set a new program record for rebounds in a conference tournament game.

The Miners gave the Hounds trouble down the stretch, overcoming what was a 14-point deficit with eight minutes remaining, to just a two-point game with three minutes to go. The Hounds were six for six from the charity stripe in the game's final minutes to ensure their victory. Missouri S&T struggled from the field in the second half, shooting only 27.89 percent in the final half.
The Greyhounds never trailed in the contest, starting the game with a 16-6 run. Tyler Parrish hitting the first dagger of the night to give UIndy the early three-point lead. The Hounds found three more three-pointers from Carmelo Harris and Shaun Arnold, finding back-to-back buckets from beyond the arc. The Hounds led by as many as 12 points in the first half, holding the Miners to 38.71 percent from the field in the opening half.
