VISTA, Calif. – In an event that featured some of the top teams in the nation, the UIndy women's golf team (304-310) earned fifth place at the 36-hole Fujikura Invitational, held at Shadowridge Country Club in Vista, Calif., Monday and Tuesday. Senior Katharina Keilich and junior Pilar Echeverria both settled in the top 10 in a field that included six of the seven top-ranked teams in the Golfstat.com Division II rankings.
 
Keilich (75-71) fired a one-under 71 in Tuesday's final round, vaulting her nine spots into sixth in the talented 94-woman field. She recorded four birdies on the day, including three on par-4 holes, and finished at +2 for the tournament.
 
Echeverria (73-76) carded a two-round score of +5 to share 10th place. She has now finished in the top 10 in all seven events this season.
 
The UIndy lineup rounded out with Kennedy Holtsclaw (77-83) in 57th, Cailyn Henderson (79-82) in 61st and Anna Kramer (81-81) in 65th. In addition, Daniela Gomez (84-88) made the trip as an individual competitor, placing 88th.
 
Meanwhile, Barry University's Tilda Larsson carded back-to-back 71s to secure medalist honors while leading her own Buccaneers (291-295) to the team title.
