SAN ANTONIO- The red-hot UIndy women's tennis team continued its assault on the 2018-19 season with a 4-0 win over St. Edward's Thursday.
The #10 Greyhounds (11-0) claimed the doubles point with a 6-1 win from the #16 doubles duo of
Hanna Volikova and
Maja Pindelska in the two position, and a 6-2 victory from
Chloe Weihs and
Anna Valiaeva in the three doubles spot. One doubles was left unfinished.
#4 Volikova notched the second UIndy team point, with a 6-1, 6-1 win in the one singles spot. #19
Nikol Alexeeva followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win in the two singles spot, while
Anya Novikova sealed the Greyhound win with a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the three singles spot.
Four, five and six singles all were left unfinished in the second set.Â
UIndy returns to the court against #14 Midwestern State Friday, and will close out its Spring Break stay in San Antonio with a match versus Cameron Saturday.
