LEBANON, Ill. – The No. 12 UIndy women's lacrosse team (6-1, 3-0 GLVC) scored more than 20 goals for the fourth straight game, but it was the defense that led the Hounds to a 22-4 win at McKendree (2-3, 1-1 GLVC) on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman keeper
Cassidy King made seven saves on 11 shots, while six different Greyhounds tallied at lease one caused turnover. UIndy commanded the draw circle once again, securing 20-of-28 at midfield.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The offensive prowess of the Greyhounds was in full effect on Sunday, as nine players recorded at least one point. UIndy led McKendree at halftime, 10-2, as
Grace Gunneson handed out four assists in opening 30 minutes for a season-high total in dish-outs.
Julia O'Brien and
Krista Temple each netted a pair of goals in the first half.

It took less than seven minutes into the second half to begin the running clock, with the Hounds outscoring the Bearcats 9-1 thereafter.
Destinie Katz registered seven points in the final period, finishing with five goals and four assists.
Hannah Bunce added two more goals after her first-half score to give the rookie her first-career hat trick, while
Jess Soenen also scored twice in the win.

O'Brien added four ground balls to her trio of goals, while Bunce caused two turnovers to lead the team.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Riley McClure was a force around the circle, winning eight draws in the win. The junior also picked up a pair of ground balls and caused one turnover.

The Greyhounds' 22 goals marks the fourth consecutive game the Crimson and Grey has reached at least 20 scores, the longest stretch in program history. UIndy is averaging 25.3 goals per contest, with three wins coming in conference action.
Gunneson surpassed 100 career goals in the win, and is now just six scores from matching
Anna Rulapaugh for most all-time. The junior is the third Greyhound to score at least 100 goals.

The hat trick by Bunce is the second in three games now for the Columbus, N.J. native. The freshman ranks second among freshmen Hounds with 11 points this season.

King's seven saves is the rookie's most stops since the season-opening win over Findlay.
