INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's lacrosse (7-1, 4-0 GLIAC) maintained its momentum on Friday evening at Key Stadium, downing the visiting Davenport Panthers (4-4, 1-2 GLIAC) by a score of 21-1.

Riley McClure reached 100 career caused turnovers in the victory, and is now just three ground balls from the century mark.

It is the fifth straight game the Greyhounds have scored at least 21 times, also marking the fifth consecutive victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds scored 15 times in the first half, as
Grace Gunneson led the way with four goals.
Peyton Romig opened the scoring in just 34 seconds before
Lauryn Hardoy and
Krista Temple also netted a goal.

Hannah Burczyk,
Julia O'Brien, and
Jess Soenen each scored twice before halftime, while Hardoy and Romig added an assist to their respective pair of goals.

Hannah Bunce and
Delaney Davidson got into the scoring column in the second half, while
Emily Meyer was credited with an assist.

Freshman keeper
Cassidy King made five saves on the night, while scooping up two ground balls and causing one turnover.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Friday marks the second straight game that McClure had led the team in draw controls after securing five more in the circle. The junior defender also caused five turnovers and picked up two ground balls against the Panthers.

The four goals from Gunneson gives the junior a team-leading 25 through eight games this season. The Rockford, Mich. product has 43 points, which ranks second on the team.

As a defense, the Greyhounds caused 17 of the Panthers' 20 turnovers.
Trisha Koning,
Erika Mayette, and
Darby Smith each recorded two caused turnovers in the win, while the latter also tallied three ground balls and two draw controls.

The Hounds welcome No. 22 Grand Valley State on Sunday afternoon from Key Stadium. The top-25 battle is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
