SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- UIndy men's tennis came away with a 7-0 win over Northwest Missouri State Saturday, sweeping the Bearcats in neutral court action.
The Greyhounds took a 6-1 win at two doubles, with the tandem of
Renato Lima and
Magnus Mueller kicking off the UIndy winning ways.
Matej Kostadinov and
Dario Huber then locked the doubles point for the Hounds with a 6-2 win at one doubles.
Ariel Farji and
Nils Hoffacker closed out the doubles sweep with a 7-6 (3) win in the three spot.
Lima took a 6-0, 6-2 win in the one singles spot, with Huber taking a 6-1, 6-2 win in the three singles position. Hoffacker pushed the score to 4-0 with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win in the second singles spot. Mueller was the fifth point, with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at four singles, with Max Witthaus winning 7-5, 6-3 and Farji finalizing the 7-0 sweep with a 6-1, 6-2 win at six singles.
The Greyhounds have another Division II match Sunday, as UIndy will meet perennial powerhouse Drury in a 2 p.m. match.
