QUINCY, Ill. – The UIndy men's basketball team (19-9, 12-6 GLVC) snuck away from the Quincy Hawks (9-19, 3-15 GLVC) on Saturday afternoon to close out the regular season with its second straight win.

Trevor Lakes led the charge from 3-point range, draining five of the team's 12 attempts form beyond the arc. The Greyhounds went 22-of-24 from the charity stripe, including 17-of-19 in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hounds continued their hot shooting from Thursday, drilling nine 3-pointers in the first half.
Miles Wayer hit two-of-four attempts against the Hawks, and has now made 11 of his last 15 from 3-point range.

As good as the UIndy offense was to start, Quincy was even better, making everything in sight. The Hawks made 18 field goals in the first 20 minutes, including seven from deep.

The Hawks led through the break before a
Marcus Latham layup at the 15:27 mark in the second half gave the Hounds the lead for good.
Jimmy King had 14 of his 21 points in the second half, with nine of his tallies coming from the line.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
King recorded his fourth 20-point game of the season, and first since the Greyhounds' win at Grand Valley State on November 18.

Lakes has made five 3-pointers for the second straight game, and has now done so in three of the past five contests.

The Greyhounds' win on Saturday marks the sixth win in the teams' last seven meetings.

For the third straight season, the Greyhounds finished conference play with a 12-6 record. UIndy earned the fourth seed in the GLVC Championship Tournament for the second consecutive year, and will play Drury in the first round on Thursday.

UP NEXT
The GLVC will officially release the tournament bracket later tonight. The Hounds will most likely take on Drury at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Ill.
