CARMEL, Ind. – As the very first Greyhound team to compete this fall, the University of Indianapolis women's golf team opened the 2020-21 athletics schedule with a convincing 29-stroke win at the annual UIndy Fall Invitational Tuesday. Three Hounds earned all-tournament team laurels, including medalist
Cailyn Henderson (75-70-71). The 10-team event was hosted in nearby Carmel, Ind., at Prairie View Golf Club, home of the 2021 NCAA Division II East Regional this spring.

Henderson earned her third collegiate win with an even-par 216 over 54 holes. She notably started both the second and third rounds at +3 through four and six, respectively, but managed to finish under par both times.

Seniors
Pilar Echeverria (78-72-68) and
Anna Kramer (74-70-76) joined Henderson on the all-tournament list, with Echeverria taking runner-up honors and Kramer placing third. The former carded the lowest round of the week with a third-round 68, while the latter hung a red number in the second round with a two-under 70.

Other standout performers included sophomore
Hunter Nugent, who used an opening-round 70 to ultimately finish seventh, and individual-competitor
Katelyn Skinner, who jumped to eighth with a final-round 71. Both rounds set collegiate lows.
Junior
Elyse Stasil (78-74-77) also competed in the Hounds' lineup, placing ninth to make it six Hounds in the top 10. Meanwhile, freshman
Maggie Schaffer (81-80-79) got her first official taste of a collegiate golf, grabbing 21st place among the 58 student-athletes.
