INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's golf team debuted at No. 1 in the East Region in the season's first set of NCAA Division II regional rankings, released Thursday.
The nine-team regional will be held at Prairie View Golf Club in nearby Carmel, Ind., May 3-5 – one of four regionals being conducted that week. The participants will compete through 54 holes, with the top three teams along with the top three individuals not with an advancing team moving on to the national championships.
Sans last spring's cancellation, UIndy is on track for its 14th consecutive NCAA berth. The Hounds are in the midst of a dominating streak of seven regional championships in the last eight years. More impressively, UIndy owns the longest streak in the nation of consecutive top-five finishes at the NCAA DII Championships. The Greyhounds have placed in the top five in six straight national tournaments, including a DII-best two national titles (
2015,
2018) in that span.
