Hounds Undefeated Record Continues With Weekend Wins

O'FALLON, Ill. – The University of Indianapolis men's Tennis team took back-to-back wins over the weekend. Bringing its overall record to 5-0, with a 6-1 win over Washburn on Saturday night and a 5-1 win over Southwest Baptist on Sunday.

WASHBURN
UIndy dominated the doubles round to kick off the weekend, winning all three matches and holding Washburn to under four points each.

Nikolaj Talimaa took a close win in singles over Sebastian Pjontek 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. While Edgar Destouet took the win in a similar nail-biter over Tim Hammes 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. Tom Zeuch, Jason Gerweck, and Zac Faveri also took wins to secure the 6-1 win for the Hounds.

SOUTHWEST BAPTIST
The Hounds meet early in the season against conference rival, Southwest Baptist, where a strong doubles start propelled the Greyhounds over the Bearcats 5-1 on Sunday night.

All three duos took the wins, with the closest match being a 6-4 win for Zeuch and Faveri.

Singles wins by Zeuch, Talimaa, and Destouet took wins to clinch the match over the Bearcats.

UP NEXT
The Greyhounds will host the ITA Diivision II National Team Indoor Championship on Friday afternoon, where their first match will be played against Saint Leo at 5:30 p.m. ET.
