SMYRNA, Tenn.— The 10th-ranked UIndy softball team ended their stay at the Music City Invitational with an eventful day on the diamond Saturday. Sophomore ace
Kenzee Smith tossed a no-hitter in a 15-0 rout of Tiffin before the Greyhounds completed the sweep with a 8-0 shutout against Wisconsin-Parkside.
In four games in Smyrna, the Hounds outscored their opponents a combined 39-0.

GAME 1 | UIndy 15, Tiffin 0 (5 innings)
Smith was literally unhittable Saturday, coming just a walk and a wild pitch shy of a perfect game. The Indy native also matched a career high with 12 Ks against 17 batters faced. The feat marked the second no-hitter of her collegiate career.
Â
The UIndy bats were equally impressive, racking up a season-best 15 runs. The biggest surge came in the second when the Hounds pushed across 10 base runners. Eight UIndy hits, four Dragon defensive errors and two stolen bases conspired together in the lengthy rally. Freshman
Megan Nichols had a pair of RBI knocks in the frame, while
Lexy Rees (double),
Maddy Stout (single) and
Sydnie Foster (single) notched ribbies as well.
Â
The Greyhound bench got in on the fun as well, generating two runs in the fourth to cap the scoring.
Lucy Garrett smashed a solo shot to left field for her first homer of the year, while
Tara Williams added a double and scored on
Kamrie Foster's RBI single.

GAME 2 | UIndy 9, UWP 0 (5 innings)
The Hounds kept it rolling in the afternoon capper, run-ruling the Rangers in five innings. UIndy sprinted out of the gate with five runs in the bottom of the first, giving game-two starter
Haylie Foster more than enough cushion. Foster went on to pitch four scoreless innings, fanning six and allowing just two hits. Senior
Amy Kaniewski came on to toss a one-two-three fifth.
Â
Gianni Iannantone spearheaded the offensive attack, going 3-for-3 with a double and a triple, three RBIs and a run. Nichols and
Emily O'Connor each produced two hits and two runs, with the former adding a stolen base and the latter a pair of ribbies.
