LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
The doubles match tested the Hounds grit, but they hung tight, the No. 2 ranked Barry Buc's would push the Hounds in an environment and temperature that the Buc's are much more accustom too. Barry would take the doubles point in a two-match win.
Freshman
Edgar Destouet shined for the Greyhounds, tying the match by defeating Nationally ranked No. 7 player, Alejandro Palacios in a 6-3, 6-2 win.
The Bucs stole the next two matches, bringing it down to the final three. While
Jason Gerweck was heading into a third set after taking a set of his own, Viel and Franca were fighting to win their points. Viel's match finished with a pair of Barry 6-4 wins.
The future shines bright for the Greyhounds program, retiring seniors
Zac Faveri and Viel, they also look to standouts
Nikolaj Talimaa, who was ranked in the top 30 in the nation for much of the year, and Destouet who has held down the No. 1 spot recently and taken many key wins for the Hounds.
