Hounds Record 1-1 Draw Against UIS

SPRINGFIELD, Ill – Under the Friday night lights of Springfield, Ill., the UIndy men's soccer team were tied by conference foe Illinois Springfield. Micheal Tselios was the golden man for the Greyhound with him netting his third goal of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was an offensive barrage for the Prairie Stars, with them taking six shots to the Greyhounds three. Their first shot of the contest -- and the first of the game -- came in the first minute with UIS sending a shot on goal, being saved by Joey Schrand. Just 40 seconds later Schrand was already two saves into the contest with UIS challenging the freshman. He would later record his third save of the first, at the 26th minute.

The second half was more of the same early with UIS sending a shot high early. That was followed shortly after, by another shot on goal, early in the 51st minute, yet again saved by Schrand. He recorded his fifth and final save just five minutes later. The Greyhound offense, brought to life by the work of their young keeper, found their footing behind the back of Tseslios recovering from a collision and sliding a ball to the right of the Prairie Stars goalkeeper, taking a 1-0 lead.

UIS fought off pressure from the Greyhounds in a muddy Kiwanis Stadium and mounted their own counterattack. It was successful with the score being tied at the 84th minute. UIndy battled but father time was not on their side as they recorded their third tie of the season and their second in a row.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Schrand has a career high in saves, with five on the day.
- Tseslios' third goal marked a season high for him.
- UIndy recorded only one shot on goal in the contest
