INDIANAPOLIS – Zac Szul hit a 3-pointer with 69 seconds remaining to lift the UIndy men's basketball team to a 63-58 win on Wednesday afternoon against Thomas More.
Â
The triple proved to be the game-winner, as the junior finished with 13 points in nearly 22 minutes off the bench to help the Hounds snap the short two-game skid.
Â
Jesse Bingham led the team in scoring, dropping 12 of his 14 points in the second half.

INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds and Saints were knotted at 53 apiece with under five minutes left when
Jarvis Walker drilled a 3-ball in front of the home bench off a nifty pass from
David Ejah.
Â
The UIndy defense clamped down the stretch, limiting Thomas More to just six points in the final 8:25 and scoreless the last 99 seconds. Tied at 58, Szul slipped loose on the right wing before
hitting the dagger off a pass from
Dylan Ingram.
Â
Ejah sealed the win with a pair of free throws, ending the Saints' hopes to force overtime at the buzzer.
Â
The Hounds were hot in the early going before the Saints pulled off an impressive 12-0 run late in the first half to keep the game alive. UIndy regained the lead just before the break, as
Paul Zilinskas knocked down a turnaround jumper for the 31-30 advantage.
