Tchoua Named to D2CCA All-America Third Team

WEST HAVEN, Conn. - UIndy men's basketball player Kendrick Tchoua has become the first Greyhound in program history to be named an All-American by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), the organization announced on Monday.

Tchoua, who was named GLVC Player of the Year and D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year, finished his fourth season atop all of the NCAA with a 72.6 field goal percentage. The Silver Spring, Md., native averaged 14.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this winter, while recording nine double-doubles.

The big man also added 27 steals and 17 blocks in 31 contests.

Although being the first Greyhound to be honored by the D2CCA in this capacity, Tchoua is now one of 11 players in program history to earn an All-America award and the first since Jordan Loyd in 2016 by the D-II Bulletin.
