ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – For the fourth Great Lakes Valley Conference match in a row, the No. 5-ranked University of Indianapolis men's tennis team has swept their opponent. This time around it was the Lewis Flyers who played victim to the Greyhound dominance.
Doubles started in a way the Greyhounds have not had happen this season, falling in the No. 1 slot. Despite that, the Hounds went onto still claim the doubles point with
Matthieu Derache and
Erwan Momo Andre winning out of the No. 2 slot and
Louis Picaud and
Nikolaj Talimaa doing the same in the No. 3 slot.
Despite the result, the Flyers fought the Hounds hard, pushing the No. 2 and No. 4 matches to third sets.
Edgar Destouet, out of the No. 1 slot, was excellent, sprinting through the first set, and fighting off a tight second.
Thomas Mathis and Derache were also sweepers in No. 3 and No. 5 singles, with both second sets being dominant Hound victories.
The two matches that were closer were out of the No. 2 and No. 4 slots, where it took three se4ts for
August Ehrnrooth and Momo Andre to pick up their victories.
