Stasil Named All-America First Team

EUREKA, Mo.—UIndy student-athlete Elyse Stasil was honored by the Women's Golf Coaches Association this week, garnering one on only 14 spots on its 2023 Division II All-America First Team list. The WGCA made the announcement at the conclusion of day 3 at the NCAA DII Championships Thursday night.

Stasil earns her first career national award from the WGCA while wrapping up a stellar final season as a collegian. A two-time all-region performer, Stasil compiled an impressive 73.6 average heading into Nationals, good for the fifth-lowest total in program history. The fifth-year senior and Chesterton, Ind., native racked up seven top-five finishes on the year, leading the Hounds to runner-up finishes at both the GLVC Championships and the NCAA DII East Regional as well as the No. 3 seed in the medal/match play quarterfinals at Nationals.
