INS & OUTS
The Panthers got out on the right foot in the dual, snagging a late pinfall over
Nathan Smith at 125. The Hounds wouldn't take long to answer, with
Noah Cantu winning via decision and then
Brayden Lowery scoring a first period pin to make it 9-3. That pin signaled the beginning of the end for the dual as a
Jackson Hoover major and then a
Owen Zablocki masterclass at 165 accelerated the score to 19-6.
Â
Â
Dawson Combest kept the foot on the gas at 165, snagging his first pin of the 2023-24 year and his return to action. The Panthers attempted to calm the storm that was the Greyhounds with a pin at 174 over freshman
Logan Farnell, but a pin at 184, compliments of
Aidan Petersen, and a pair of majors ended the dual heavily in the visitors favor.
