GRANVILLE, Ohio  – The
nationally-ranked UIndy swimming & diving teams will compete in their all-important mid-season meet this week. The Greyhound swimmers travel to Granville, Ohio Thursday through Saturday for the biggest meet of the semester, the Denison Invitational, while the divers head to Oxford, Ohio for the Miami Invite Thursday and Friday.
Â
The Denison field will feature teams from all three NCAA divisions, including some of the top programs in DIII. Both teams from Emory University, host Denison and WashU—all ranked in the DIII top 12—will be in attendance. The Greyhounds will represent Division II, while the women of DI Eastern Michigan will also compete.
Â
Emory is ranked No. 1 in both the men's and women's DIII polls. Additionally, the Emory men are the three-time defending DIII champs, while the Denison women won in 2023.
Â
"Our mid-season meet is an opportunity to reap some of the rewards for the training we've put in thus far," said Head Coach
Brent Noble. "Over the course of the year, we're competing fast just a handful of times. We're at our very best a handful of times, and this is one of them. This is one of focuses for the year."
Â
The Denison Invitational starts Thursday morning with prelims at 10 a.m. and later the evening finals at 6 p.m. That schedule holds for both Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile, the Greyhound divers are set to compete Thursday and Friday Â
Â
Live video is said to be available for both meets, while
live results for the Denison Invite will also be posted. More info on the Denison meet can be found at the event's
