INDIANAPOLIS – After a heartbreaking loss the day before to No. 6 Columbus State, the No. 7-ranked UIndy men's tennis team played some déjà vu tennis, facing off against the No. 8 Wayne State Warriors for the second time in seven days, this time in the consolations of the 2024 ITA Division II National Men's Team Indoor Championship. Just like their matchup on Feb. 11, the Greyhounds dominated the Warriors, winning 4-1.

INS & OUTS
The Hounds jumped all over the Warriors in doubles, with the pair of
Tom Zeuch and
Matthieu Derache scoring a decisive 6-1 victory over the No. 5-ranked pair of Cedric Drenth and Daniel Grey, improving upon their 6-3 win from the last meeting. Derache described it as the best the two have played all season, with Zeuch now having faced Drenth and Grey over seven times in his career, dating back to his sophomore year. The Warriors evened the score, however, scoring a win at No. 3 doubles. The doubles point came down to
Erwan Momo Andre and
Louis Picaud at No. 2, and they were up to the task, winning 7-5.
Â
The Warriors, attempting avoid the same fate they faced last meeting, snagged a win at No. 2 doubles over
David Simeonov. But, in what felt like just moments,
Manuel Lanteri and Zeuch evened and took back the lead. Momo Andre, much like in doubles, secured the match, winning in straight sets 7-6, 6-3.
