LEBANON, Ill. - The UIndy men's basketball team defeated McKendree, 91-69, to close the 2023-24 regular season. The GLVC Regular Season Champions finish the season 20-7 overall and 16-3 in GLVC action. The Greyhounds are also currently ranked No. 1 in the region heading into the conference tournament.

Jesse Bingham was dominant on the court, scoring a season-high 26 points. Bingham was 11-for-15 from the field and 3-3 from beyond the arc. The senior's skills during the game also created new season highs in field goals and 3-pointers made.

The Hounds came out with energy at halftime after leading,45-34, at the brake.
Josiah Tynes and
Jesse Bingham led UIndy on a 19-5 run to open the second half, extending the Greyhound lead to 24. The run ended with 3-pointers made by
Sean Craig, Tynes, and Bingham.

Later in the half, the Hounds created a, 13-4, run. The run featured another three made baskets from downtown, two from
Zac Szul and one from
David Ejah. After the run, UIndy held their largest lead of the game of 28 points with less than six minutes remaining.

McKendree attempted to come back with an 11-3 run of their own. The 28-point lead and strong defense from the Greyhounds was too much for the Bearcats to handle.

Jarvis Walker finished with 20 points. Walker also led the team om assists and steals with four and two, respectively.
- Tchoua (10), Tynes (11), and Szul (10) also ended the night in double figures for the Hounds.
- On the court, the Greyhounds were 32-of-56 from the field and 12-25 from downtown.
- UIndy grabbed 35 boards during the contest and held McKendree to 29 rebounds. Ejah and Tchoua both grabbed eight rebounds, a team high.

The leading scorer for the Bearcats was Carson Parker. Parker scored 17 points and led the team in rebounds (seven) and assists (four). Two more Bearcats also finished in double figures. ... The Greyhounds swept the Bearcats, 2-0, in the season series. With the added wins, UIndy continues to lead McKendree 17-4 in the all-time series.

With the Greyhounds winning the GLVC regular season title they are guaranteed the first seed in the conference tournament. The Hounds will wait for the official bracket to see who they will face. The GLVC Championship Tournament will take place on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. from Thursday, Mar. 7 through the 10th.
