Dy’s Record-Breaking Performance Leads Hounds to Team Win

GROVE CITY, Ohio—Junior Anci Dy etched her name in the UIndy record books with an impressive performance at the NC4K Classic Monday and Tuesday. The Traverse City, Mich., native matched UIndy records for both single-round and 36-hole-tournament scores, taking the individual medal and leading the Greyhounds to the team title by 21 strokes.

Hosted by Ohio Dominican University, the two-day tournament was held at Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio.

INS & OUTS
Dy followed her opening-round 70 with a sizzling seven-under 65 on Tuesday. Her final round included eight birdies and a back-nine total of 31. Both her single-round 65 and her total score of 135 matched program marks, while the former set a new course record for a competitive women's tournament.

Two more Greyhounds earned all-tournament accolades. Freshman Caroline Whallon finished at even par, carding scores of 73-71 to take the runner-up spot, while fellow-rookie Jess Haines (74-73) finished at +3 to share third place.

Macey Brown and Matilda Cederholm tied for 19th place among the 88 competitors, followed by Ava Ray in 30th.

UP NEXT
The Greyhounds have one more tune-up before the GLVC Championships. They'll head to the Gateway City for the UMSL Spring Invitational April 14-15 at Norwood Hills Country Club.
