SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The No. 7-ranked UIndy men's tennis team is going to battle for yet another GLVC Championship title, this time hoping to go back-to-back after capturing the title a season ago.
Their campaign will begin against the Quincy Hawks, the No. 4-seed in the west. Last season, the Hounds dropped only one point across three matches on route to their 12th-program title.
Tom Zeuch has been the story of the season. The grad-student out of Reiser, Germany has been undeniably the best Division II tennis player in the country, sitting at No. 1 in the singles ranking and once again No. 1 in the doubles rankings alongside
Matthieu Derache.
The top-four teams based on highest divisional winning percentage from each of the GLVC's two divisions – East and West – earn a spot in the eight-team, single-elimination tournament. Quarterfinal action will take place on Friday, semifinal matches will be conducted on Saturday, and the Championship match will be contested on Sunday.
The GLVC Tennis Championship Tournament will once again be streamed live and free on all GLVC Sports Network platforms, including GLVCSN.com, iOS/Android mobile apps, and Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV OTT apps.
